Community and social interaction are essential parts of a fulfilling life. But, for many, accessing these opportunities can be challenging. At Thrive House, we offer community access support designed to help participants 12 -21 get out and about, meet new people and experience all that life has to offer!
We’re committed to ensuring that everyone has the chance to experience the world around them, regardless of their support needs.
Staying active and healthy is essential. We offer support for accessing a variety of sports and fitness opportunities tailored to each participant’s abilities, from local sports teams to yoga classes.
Our support encourages social connections through events and outings where participants can meet new friends and engage in community activities.
Through classes and workshops, we encourage participants to develop new skills and explore their interests that not only promotes growth, but build confidence and independence too.
Participants are encouraged to explore their unique passions, whether it’s music, crafting or learning a new language. We help cultivate individuality by engaging them in activities that bring them joy.
We help participants develop confidence and essential skills for everyday tasks like grocery shopping, doctor appointments and navigating public transport.
By focusing on graded therapy intervention, we gradually reduce the level of support to engage with their community more independently. This allows individuals to practice essential life skills in real-world settings, whether it’s using public transport, shopping for groceries or attending social events.
As a registered NDIS provider, we are passionate about matching individuals to the best community access programs that suit their preferences. With an experienced, well-trained team, we take the time to plan events based on the specific needs, interests, goals and hobbies of our participants.
